Each week a new Weekly Raid Tournament is offered as a multi-day PvP event in which players compete for the best scores and get loot based on their final tier. Each tournament comes with its own special rules.
Preparation PhaseOn the first day, players have 24 hours to enter the competition and set a Defense Team that can be modified as often as they like during this time window. It's called the Preparation Phase. After this phase ends, the Defense Team is locked and can no longer be changed.
Battle PhaseOnce the Preparation Phase is complete and defense teams are locked, the Battle Phase begins. It lasts for 5 days in total and at the start of each day all remaining participants receive 5 flags that can be used to attack. Flags not used the day that they are awarded are lost and cannot be used on subsequent days.
Each attack awards points based on the Difficulty Bonus assigned to the opponent's Defense Team along with the number of enemy heroes defeated (partial points are awarded in losses). Whenever a player fails on 4 separate attacks during the tournament, they are knocked out and are offered an opportunity to spend 75 gems to reset their defeats and continue the tournament.
At the end of each day, each player's Defense Team is also awarded points based on their winning rate, even if a player is knocked out early and does not continue.
Each tournament may have restrictions regarding the heroes and troops allowed that are permitted. These are generally limited to star level or element.
Special RulesThere are also currently three Special Rules:
Choosing a team that takes best advantage of the special rules while also accommodating appropriately the star level and element restrictions of the tournament is the only way to assure success.
Loot awarded is randomized, though appearance rates and the amount awarded varies per tier.
