Watchtower

The Watchtower is the home of PvP combat in Empires & Puzzles.  It is where we raid, plunder and pillage other players' bases for loot, glory, and fame.  The watchtower is located to the right side of the base.

Watchtower Production

The watchtower produces both food and iron and once resources are collected there is a 60 minute cooldown before they may be collected again.  It is said that the watchtower houses all of the stronghold's blacksmiths and cooks who spend their days refining all of the raw goods we're collecting into an even more valuable end product. The watchtower is the highest producing building on the base as a level 9 watchtower (with 9 outposts) produces more iron than a level 10 mine, while also producing more food than a farm.

Outpost Production Bonus

For each outpost (episodes 3 to 23 in season 1) that you control the watchtower gains an additional 5% bonus to its overall production. This is additive and continues to increase with each outpost that is captured as you progress through Season 1 of the map, up to 105% when Season 1 is completed.

Raiding's Effects on Watchtower Stores

Each time that a player gets raided they lose some of the goods stored in their watchtower.  This can range from several hundred goods up to thousands of goods.  These goods are only taken from the stores within the watchtower itself.  Because of this, it is recommended that you make a habit of entering the watchtower and collecting from it as the last thing that you do prior to logging off each time in order to minimize how much may be taken from you by all those bloodthirsty raiders.

Production & Upgrade Costs

Watchtower production is highly dependent upon the number of Outposts you have under your control, with each outpost increasing production by 5%. The mines and the watchtower are the only two buildings that can be upgraded with food.
