- This page refers to Hero Summons on the Base. For the Dragonspire Summons, see Dragon Summons.
A summons is a hero or troop draw, often purchased for gems or with tokens earned in battle. When you click on the Summoning Gate and are brought to the screen in which you may choose which type to summon.
While the Daily Summon and Epic Troop Summon are always present, the other two types of summon rotate depending on the time of month or year. For each type of summons there is a small "i" in the upper lefthand corner that you can tap to show you the precise percentages of each possible result.
It should be noted that heroes are not solely acquired via summons. You may also acquire 1* - 5* heroes from various levels of the Training Camp, and 1* and 2* heroes may be acquired as rewards for completing stages on the map.
Although heroes are previewed at maximum level and ascension, when summoned they each arrive completely unleveled.
Summon Costs[]
While it is not recommended to purchase the daily summon, it is possible to do so for 150 gems.
A regular pull from a Seasonal Event, a Challenge Event, the Epic Summon or Elemental Summon each cost the same: 300 gems for one pull, and 2600 for a 10-pull.
Atlantis and Valhalla is a little more expensive at 350 gems per pull or 3000 per 10-pull. You may also purchase single Atlantis and Valhalla summons for 100 Atlantis Coins and Valhalla Coins.
Tokens may also be used. The most interesting use is for the Epic Hero Token which may be utilized only within the Epic Summon or Seasonal Summon. Since these tokens are fairly rare, it is recommended that they be saved up for use during the next seasonal summon.
Mystic Summon can be performed once within a 24-hour period in Daily Summon and once during an active Map Event or Challenge Festivals when you do not have a complete set of tokens needed to perform a pull. Mystic Summons do not count toward Fated Summons, even if the Heroes pulled are not Legendary Heroes.

Summon Types[]
Daily Summon[]
Daily Summon is an indefinite summon portal that provides a FREE summon within a 24-hour period after every pull performed, always available at the bottom of the Summon menu. The portal offers 1*, 2*, and 3* Heroes and Troops that can be used for battle or training other Heroes and Troops. Summoning can be performed using Gems of Summon Tokens (silver, with a dragon icon).
This is the cheapest option and if the game awards you a summoning token for any given action, it is likely a for this. As the name implies, you also receive a free summon each day. The best reward that you can receive from this type of summon is a 3* hero, but you may also receieve a troop.
As you can see in the image: Your chances max out with a 3.3% chance to receive a 3* hero from this type of summon.
It is also recommended that because of how common it is to receive a free Daily Summon, and how expensive gems are, that your gems are likely best spent elsewhere.
Hero | Troop | Total | |
---|---|---|---|
Common 1* | 32.0% | 16.0% | 48% |
Uncommon 2* | 31.3% | 15.7% | 47% |
Rare 3* | 3.3% | 1.7% | 5% |
Troop Summon[]
This type of summon only draws rare or epic troops. Despite the name, there is only a 10% chance that you will actually receive an epic 4* troop, with a 90% chance that you will receive a 3* variety. That said, this is the only source of 4* troops.
During Tower Events, Epic Troop Summons gain an extra set of troops that match the tower's theme: Ninja Troops during Ninja Tower and Magic Troops during Tower of Magic. These troops have the unique stat of giving heroes increased mana generation or the ability to bypass defensive buffs with normal attacks.
Event(s) | Rare | Epic | Legendary |
---|---|---|---|
Default | 90.0% | 10.0% | |
Tower | 85.0% | 10.0% (Classic) 5.0% (Tower) |
|
Legendary | 83.0% | 14.0% | 3.0% |
Epic Hero & Seasonal Summons[]
In the third slotted portal is the Epic Hero Summon, which allows players with Epic Hero Tokens (gold, with a dragon icon) to perform a free summon. While no Event is active, the pool is exclusively Classic Heroes that range from 3*, 4*, and 5* Heroes. (See TC13 for possible 3* and 4* heroes, or TC20 for 4* and 5* heroes.)
During Seasonal Events, the odds are adjusted, including unique Event Heroes specific to the active event. For example, players with an Epic Hero Token used during Santa's Challenge have the chance to pull the Hero Santa Claus or Mother North.
Through offers, Classic Epic Hero Tokens and Classic Legendary Hero Tokens can be purchased and used in Epic Hero Summon and Seasonal Summon but only reward a Classic Hero of 4* and 5* rarity respectively.
Other summons will typically give a 2.5% chance of a 5*.
Each Epic Hero Summon has a 1.3% chance for a bonus draw of the Hero of the Month.
Season | Rare | Epic | Legendary |
---|---|---|---|
Default | 72% | 26.5% | 1.5% |
Seasonal | 56.8% (Classic) 14.2% (Seasonal) |
20.8% (Classic) 5.7% (Seasonal) |
0.9% (Classic) 0.3% (Seasonal) |
Elemental & Event Summons[]
The fourth slot, often the topmost, houses Elemental Summon. Unlike Epic Hero Summon, all available Heroes to pull are of one element or color across the three rarities. See TC13 Heroes and TC20 Heroes for a list of possible heroes. Featured Heroes of the Month can still be drawn if an Elemental Summon is performed, regardless if that Hero corresponds to it.
The rotation of elements for this portal is:
- Fire
- Ice
- Nature
- Holy
- Dark
During the Contest of Elements Event, the Elemental Summon is replaced with a Super Elemental Summon. This portal includes a variety of other non-Classic Heroes across the different events, as well as the introduction of Super Elemental Heroes of that element or color.
This portal also includes its own Super Elemental Coins to achieve a free pull. Every free pull requires the accumulation of 100 Super Elemental Coins; players are also able perform pulls with the use of 400 gems or a 10-pull that requires 3400 gems.
The pull chances are as followed: (see Contest of Elements#Event Summons for the complete list of available Heroes.)
Event | Rare | Epic | Legendary |
---|---|---|---|

71.0% | 26.5% | 2.5% |
Elemental (Super) |

Lastly, the Event Summon, referring to the portal active during Challenge Events, rotates in each month, taking the slot of the Elemental Summon.[1] Each one has heroes unique to their event, as well as Classic Heroes and Trainer Heroes. The alternating Challenge Events are as followed:
- Challenge Festival I
- Return to Sanctuary
- Challenge Festival II
- Mighty Pets
- Carnival of Gods
- Secrets of the Opera
Like Super Elemental Summon, Event Summon carry its own coinage of Challenge Coins, obtained from completing stages or defeating Suspicious Chests, to perform a free pull.

Challenge | 63.1% (Classic) 7.9% (Event) |
20.8% (Classic) 5.7% (Event) |

Map Summons[]
During scheduled intervals on a monthly basis, one of five specialized Summons become active for players to pull Heroes that belong to a Season that appears on the Map. Each portal takes on an independent slot rather than replace Stages on these Maps reward coins that can be used to perform free pulls.
The respective Summons and the Coins that can be used are as followed:
- Atlantis Summon - Atlantis Coins
- Valhalla Summon - Valhalla Coins
- Underwild Summon - Underwild Coins
- Dunes Summon - Dunes Coins
- Untold Tales Summon - Untold Tales Coins

Aether Summon & Ascension Summon[]
Two summons have been added to share similar functionality and cannot make use of Gems to perform pulls: Aether Summon and Ascension Summon.
Aether Summon was introduced as part of v57, features Aethers and Trainer Heroes, with a chance to pull Alpha Aethers. The portal requires an accumulation of 10 Aether Crystals for a single pull or 90 Aether Crystals for a 10-pull. The portal appears monthly, in July 2023 SGG experimented with making it fortnightly. They also provide 25 Crystals free each month through Inbox.
Ascension Summon is part of v60, containing the odds to pull unfarmable ascension materials, Trainer Heroes, emblems, and tomes. Like with Aether Summon, pulls can only be performed with Ascension Crystals: 10 Ascension Crystals for a single pull or 90 Ascension Crystals for a 10-pull. On its first opening, players were given 20 Crystals in their Inbox.

This is a bonus summons, provided to you in addition to your actual draw, thus rewarding two heroes from one summon when it occurs. The Hero of the Month is always a 5* hero.
Fated Summon[]
Added in V52 and becoming available on October 24, 2022, the Fated Summon is a special portal that allows players to gain a free Legendary Hero of their choosing, similarly to Soul Exchange. From a selection of 20 Heroes, players can receive one after 100 pulls from any summon that has Legendary Heroes but do not result in a Legendary Hero; pulls from Daily Summons or Epic Troop Summon do NOT contribute to the total tally of pulls needed to fill the pre-requisite. After 100 summons are performed, 1 Hero can be selected and pulled, at a max of 2000 pulls for all 20 available Heroes.
The Summon Portal is accessed through the Summon menu at the top-left corner. Options are as followed:

During specific Events and when the coin requisite is not met, a purple button will temporarily replace the single pull option; Mystic Summon pulls do not count towards Fated Summon regardless of the Hero summoned is of Legendary rarity nor does it add to the chests attached to the portal.
