Santa's Challenge is the Christmas-themed among Seasonal Events, running throughout December, from the 1st until New Year's Eve. There are Easy (added in 2020), Normal and Advanced difficulties, each with 24 levels. The completion of the event's quests awards trainer heroes (of 
Fire and 
Ice elements) and ascension materials. There is an accompanying "Winter Fun!" series of daily special offers in the Shop (Sundays free).
Event Conditions[]
The special gameplay mechanic is Frosted Shields: Some tiles arrive covered in white frost; they can be moved (unlike Runic Rocks in Season 3), but when matched, do not “fire”, create Troops nor hence give mana, merely lose the frosting and stay in the playing field, to be matched again (sometimes immediately). This means that moving a frosted shield will not create a Dragon Shield or Power Shard; however these can be created using a frosted shield that remained in its place.
