The Mirages of Omega: "Limit Breaker Quest" is a unique monthly, i. e. later 4-weekly quest introduced in June 2021 (version 39) to provide Aethers, which allow to further level fully maxed heroes (see Hero Information#Limit Break). Each event lasts 3 days from Monday and yields Aethers of one element, rotating monthly (in the order of tabs/guides below, February 2023 will start the new round from Ice).
The Mirages feature special game mechanisms, variously buffing heroes of the appropriate element, as well as making the elite enemies, all of the same element, extra strong (innate resistance to status ailments, stealing buffs etc.).

There are five "Special Stages", rather expensive and difficult. Aethers have 3 levels of rarity, designed simply in Roman numerals (III being the strongest). As limit-breaking requires 5 Aethers of the corresponding rarity, and where relevant 20 of the lower one and 35 of the lowest, a full reward from a Mirages event suffices to limit-break some of the following combinations:
- 10 Rare/3* Heroes
- 2 Epic/4* Heroes and 2 Rare/3*
- or 1 Epic/4* and 6 Rare/3*
- supposing the player already has one legendary Aether III from before, 1 Legendary/5* Hero and 3 Rare/3*
- limit-breaking one Legendary/5* and Epic/4* Hero each requires further adding not just one Epic/4* Aether II but also three Rare/3* Aethers I
These are however somewhat academic, as very few 3* Heroes are worth limit-breaking; the more common Aethers are better saved for Epic/Legendary heroes where the consumption rises steeply.
